Active Life Norfolk — Movement. Strength. Fun.ActiveLifeNorfolk

Hi, welcome I'm Julia

I founded ActiveLifeNorfolk because I believe nobody should feel too old, too stiff or too out of practice to start moving again.

Meet Julia

Fitness has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

My career began in the Royal Navy, where physical fitness, resilience and helping others achieve their potential were part of everyday life. From there I spent many years teaching and encouraging people of all ages to become stronger, healthier and more confident through exercise.

I later moved into the NHS, continuing a career dedicated to improving people's health and wellbeing.

Life, however, has a habit of presenting its own challenges. After undergoing two hip replacements, I experienced first-hand how important movement is—not just for recovery, but for maintaining independence, confidence and quality of life.

Returning to fitness instruction felt like coming home.

Today I specialise in helping adults aged 50 and over improve their strength, mobility, balance and confidence through enjoyable, carefully structured classes that suit all abilities. Whether you've exercised all your life or you're taking the first step after many years, you'll receive encouragement, support and exercises that work at your pace.

I firmly believe that age should never define what you're capable of. If I can rebuild my own strength after major surgery, I know that with the right guidance, almost anyone can become stronger, move better and enjoy a more active life.

My classes aren't about chasing personal bests or keeping up with anyone else. They're about moving well, feeling better and enjoying the company of like-minded people in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Movement. Strength. Fun.
